Video conferencing reflection.

I like thing is interesting. It’s make me concentration. And I dislike thing is students have to a headset, web cam etc. But I don’t have a webcam and head set.
How to using video conferencing my own teaching? I will use a cancel a class time. Example is we sometimes have to do cancel a class. A few teachers are students not want time required to attend. In that case, I will be require attend video conferencing.
Advantage and disadvantage video conferencing in education. In my opinion, advantage thing is free. Video conferencing is can do using free. It’s good and important. Education of opportunity has to equal. And another thing is no barriers of space. It’s useful when teacher teaching students fur away. Disadvantage thing is sometimes expensive. Camera computer, headset, webcam software etc. It’s make students burden. If students don’t have camera like me. Students maybe feel alienated. I think its environment is important.

Things to Consider

What is an authoring tool and what can they be used for?
An authoring tool is an installable program that allows you to create materials in electronic format.
After creating the materials, they can be distributed on a CD-Rom, DVD, and other media for use by your learners.
Allows you to include audio files in MP3 format and store materials for access on the Internet.

If you wanted to make a simple exercise for your students, what would you do and how would you do it?
If I wanted to make a simple exercise for your students. I make simple activities (related to the class goal or function), and will be proceed at the beginning of class. Time is about 5 minute. Simple exercise has to basic, functional, do not burden, not boring.
I will create myself exercises. Method is include working with external web pages, using web page design skills. May also include the use of small programs installed on my own computer.
The choice of tool will be determined by the materials my want to produce.
the time available.
 the resources at my disposal.

Things to consider

Discuss how to set up a simple blog, wiki, OR podcast project with learners.

How to set up a WIKI
Using a free wiki site, the teacher sets up the first page of a wiki, outlining the topic of the project, and the steps the learners will need to take in the project. Below is a screenshot of the first page of the wiki set up in pdwiki.

How to set up a blog
To create a self-hosted blogyou need a domain name and a web host. Even though a site like Blogger is free and makes setup a snap, you don't actually own the content or the site because it's hosted on Blogger's domain. I never, ever recommend free hosted sites. I think they look cheap, lack professionalism and often times people don't take your site seriously. If you use a company like WebsitePalace.com to buy your domain and host your site then you can setup a self-hosted WordPress blog for free in seconds with their WordPress hosting plan. You simply login to your hosting account and follow the instructions for launching your WordPress blog. It literally takes minutes.
I like WordPress much better because there are a handful of free plug-ins you can use to make your blog much more interactive, functional and dynamic. Let's say you want to add a shopping cart to your blog so people can buy products. With WordPress, all you have to do is download a plug-in (most are free) and the functionality will be added to your blog in seconds! There are literally thousands of free plug-ins available.

How to set up a podcast
Using a free podcast site like podOmatic, the teacher sets up a podcast page for the project. This needs to be done at home or in the computer room before class. To record a podcast, the teacher needs a computer and internet connection, and a microphone and speakers or headset. Podcast sites are extremely easy to use and no specialist technical knowledge is needed. The podcast page provides a website for learners to post their podcasts to.

Discuss the difference between a blog and a wiki.

A blog is essentially an online journal or diary, usually written by one person, which is added to regularly. Most blog owner and also to subsequent visitors who can in turn comment further. A wiki, on the other hand, is like a public website, or public web page, started by one person, but which subsequent visitors can add to, delete or change as they wish. Instead of being a static web page or website like a blog, a wiki is more dynamic, and can have multiple authors. A wiki is like having a publicly accessible word processing document available online, which anyone can edit.
Essentially a wiki is not liner, like a blog. A blog consists of a number of postings, Which are published on one web page, in reverse chronological order with the most recent posing at the top.

Reflection

I have learned how to teach English with Technology in multimedia class.
For example, Inserting picture, Using Websites in the Classroom, using various internet tools, web quest, CALL etc..Professor give many homework I don’t like.
But now, when I wrote this report. I turn back to multimedia class. What I can remember the most is that it is a homework. How will it assist you to achieve a further academic and work related goals?
In my opinions, I don't know how to use Google. and many tools,  helpful websites, like a manythings site. But I've learned it in the multimedia class. I think I can use these when I  teach. Especially, remaining in one's memory manythings site. If I teach something later, I can use "manything"site.
My weaknesses is I am not that motivatied. I like "settle for the present". But my strength is making an effort. if I have to do something, I do my best. How will you overcome your weaknesses in order to become a successful teacher? If I run my blog, I will try to make it. Post continues to raise, and more useful data to provide students will have to keep trying. In that regard, Through this class, I has started a blog to google, I think pleased. And i want continue to consistently post.  If i not settle for the present.

Extra Credit

         What is a "learning tool"?
       1. This could be a tool you use to create.
       2. Deliver learning content / solutions for others.
       3. A tool you use for your own personal learning.

 Prezi is good learning tool.
This is using deliver learning content / solutions for others.
Prezi is nice for presentations, dynamic and great new way to catch attention. Online zooming presentation tool; like a mind map but with almost infinite zooming and paths. Create zooming presentations. Create a map of your ideas, images, videos, then show overview, zoom to details, amaze, convince, take the day.
In my opinion, prezi is less known in Korea. and also difficult to use than Power Point. But teachers are great way to catch attention because dynamic.

google search: www.google.com

Google Search is good learning tool. students use for own personal learning.
Google Search most definitely my go to information center. And also it's simple, quick and always comes up with something helpful. Students can find anything want. All students questions are answered. Google Search, It seems students can easily find anything with it. It comes with specific searches in images, video, maps, scholar and many more.
I think Google is still the best search engine in web. You can find nearly everything with it if you use the advanced searching tools.

Website Evaluation

A website I will note here is located at http://www.manythings.org/. This web site is for people studying English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL). This website was created by Charles Kelly and Lawrence Kelly. They email is written but the phone number doesn't support on the site. Charles Kelly and Lawrence Kelly are having written textbooks and maintain websites related to studying ESL and EFL. The website content information is useful. The page is content reliable and factually correct. Page load is quickly. Up-to-date content is learn a song, ESL videos blog, daily listen and reafeat, VOA special english listen and read along, english sentences with vedio and bilingual sentence pairs. Website last update is 'Learn Songs' (March 23, 2012). Last post contained learn to sing folk songs, campfire songs and group-singing songs that native English speakers sing. But they have not been continually updated. Learners' point of view looks very interesting and stimulating. If I learners will visit often when English learn. Learner's perspective, the site given the menu is varied and diverse game. It is very interesting and stimulating. It is easy to move, but is not attractive. If i learners "What is this site? It’s all in English. What should I do first? it site is so many menu" Too many too list and not know what to do from what. But the site is work well. The site is having large files but not use much technology. Just set up a hyperlink and useful site was easy to go to.

difference between ELT related and authentic websites.

ELT Website
● Provide easily useable content for language learners
● Opportunities for more controlled language work
● A great help for learner who need to improve on certain language skills
● Ideal for unsupervised homework
Authentic Website
● Can be chosen to fit learner's interests
● Keep motivation for learning high
● Provide opportunity to work through comprehension issues that learners need to deal with at some point in their studies

How to evaluate for classroom use.

In my opinion, appropriate is best. On this website that information appropriate to the learning objectives or contains you want to give information for students. Also, more interesting is good.^^
In other cases, If students wish to use the site, the site should be easy to use.
Easy to menu, Easy-to-see Easy-to-use. Likewise, If you the website for classroom use.
I think Accuracy is also important. But many information causes discussion. Can not all information is accurate.
Finally, Everything should see that the balance achieved.

Examine specific teacher doubts about using technology in the classroom and suggest some solutions.

When using technology to teach in the classroom in a case teachers usually put up in front of PPT.
Proceed to the format described(only describe!).
but, this method does not interact with students.
Education is injected. (Teaching by rote)
And this lesson can be very easily bored.
The solution is
Put a interesting activity in the middle (often)
students feel an interest in teaching.
and the case of group activity is all claa students participation.

Causes and Overcome the Technophobia.

Technophobia is the fear or dislike of advanced technology or complex devices, especially computers. It is assumed that the technophobes only fear the material invention which they are not familiar with. As technologies become increasingly complex and difficult to understand, people are more likely to harbor anxieties relating to their use of .
Here are a few guidelines and suggestions.
1. It is important to delete blame and shame from any discussion on technophobia.
2. The more you fail the more you learn!  Educate people that failing a few times while learning new technologies is normal.
